He was more than aware that they were being monitored and listened to, but he was so used to it by now from both agencies that seemed to have a hand in his captivity that he paid it little mind. Knowing that his handlers would be coming sent a sense of normal to his life, like the end of a mission when he waited for pick up.

At her question to his question, he shrugged his shoulders to dismiss the topic if it was going to bother her. He instead glanced at the tray of food that she had brought, aware that it was far more tasteful then what he normally ate, but he was less interested in food (which he could eat on his own) and more interested in her. She had stayed away a few days and she hadn't stayed long on their last meeting.

He gestured absently towards the four books that were set neatly on his bed, one folded up to mark his spot. "It passes the time between my exercises and your visits."
