He'd definitely have to try harder if annoying her was the goal, mostly because right now she was too busy enjoying being able to think about something without getting distracted every few minutes. Granted, it would have been nice to be thinking about anything other than their current predicament with that level of concentration, but she'd take what she could get.

"Guess the first question is if you're going to be sticking around here for a while or going to ground somewhere else." Which really was a question even despite the fact that she hadn't actually asked it. She shrugged one shoulder as she took another bite of the apple, talking carefully around it, "I'll be back in town more often. Be easy enough to do my own thing while I'm here." Because if she told Steve she was visiting friends he'd actually believe her, and while she didn't like lying to him, it was bound to become a necessity.

"Unless you've got a better idea." She added, honestly curious as to what he'd had in mind, if it was any different than what she'd come up with.
