He certainly wasn't kidding. They were going to be out in the field far from anything good and sane, so having a girl to visit in town might take the edge of. He didn't mind keeping to himself until they were out in the cold and the mud. He tasted his whiskey and raised his eyebrow at Steve.
"Do you think she could fault you for having a warm body to cuddle up with when she isn't around? We're going to be on the road a lot."
