The glass allowed him to hear the way that Sam's fist thumped, though he couldn't tell if the cause of it was the information that he was only now revealing or something else entirely. He supposed that it didn't matter because Sam was unfortunately stuck with him until the debriefings were all over and his bond was ushered off once they had learned to accept separation.

He suddenly shoved off the glass and gripped his pole again. "And if we want to keep from the fucking part of your statement, you better get out of here."
