If circumstances had been different, well, she really wouldn’t have minded if he had stayed in the back but as it was, she had to be honest with herself that she still didn’t trust him with having her at her back and it was easier to try to keep an eye on him while he was at her side, even if that could be potentially dangerous as well but she might have a better chance now then. Though his sudden change in attitude startled her a bit and for a long moment she looked at him, she knew there was something wrong, her senses told her as much, but their connection wasn’t as sharp as before to know what exactly was wrong. “Are you alright?”
And now she wasn’t sure if that was going to be quite a loaded question or not, knowing her luck it was probably going to be. Another sigh escaped her lips, she was getting to familiar with that action right now, before she started the engine and start to drive them away, they had a bit of a long way ahead of them and oh she was sure this was probably going to be the worst and most awkward car ride ever, what with a former assassin as her traveling companion and with people probably about to start looking for them, yes not exactly a nice picture.
It so didn’t helped that she had no idea of what to talk with him; they were not as they were in the past in which they could talk about anything and everything easily and were silences could also speak a thousand words for them, at the moment there really wasn’t exactly any common ground between them to start a conversation –asides from the ones that were not wise to even try to approach since it will be like opening a can of worms, and so she let the rather empty silence to settle around them.
But there was so much of the silence she could take patiently and she had probably gotten used to being in the company of Sam too much, and maybe because she had gotten used to his company too much and it was kind of like second nature to move, quick and precise, and next thing she knew another small fond and amused smile appeared on her face when ‘Trouble Man’ started and effectively filled the silence between them, God bless Sam for this kind of foresight.
maybe will be with other people catching fiyah
