Fire symbolism at it's best in that series

He had no other answer for her, though he supposed he could technically make something up to appease her. Right now, he didn't feel like the effort was worth his while after he had seen her be so affectionate to the wingman back there, and the little fish-hooks of jealousy dug deep into his mind. For now, it was the only answer he would provide so that he could mull things over a little longer, making plans for his benefit in future and with an awareness that he could never kill the widow or wingman as Stephanie would never allow it. He had to be nice after all.

He had no fear of Hydra or their agents right now. Few drugs worked on either him or Stephanie long enough to incapacitate them because of their metabolism. His weakness lay in old conditioning, but with her around, he could easily circumvent most of it by forcing her to order him directly. A direct order he had to follow unless dazed, and he had only been dazed a few times in his long tenure with Hydra.

He was used to being on the run, so the idea of a temporary location didn't bother him at all. He noted she didn't give a location name or coordinates to allow him to orient himself to the idea. "And from there?"
