Symbolism!

He knew that she was not interested in talking to him, and he respected her need for distance since he had gotten what he wanted which was a place in her life. The fact that they were driving to a completely unknown location wasn't something that bothered him either because it was how he had spent the last seventy years of his life living. He woke up in strange places, was told his mission and set loose on the poor sod who happened to be his target. Then some training and some conditioning and then back to the cold sleep. The process was repeated over and over again for years, so he had learned to just accept it as part of his life. Not being told the location had no bearing on the sheer amount of devastation that he could potentially inflict there.

Instead of drifting off, he stared around them at the passing signs and scenery, taking it all in for his own use. He needed to be sharp to best protect her but also to protect himself as well. He would be useless to her captured or killed, though he wasn't so certain the latter would bother her too much given her distance from him. He was fine with that though; he was still in her life and that was really all he needed right now. Her nicety towards him was something that was optional. Hydra had never been nice to him after all, but he served them too.

He turned his head from the window as she drove up to a specific house, watching as the door to the carport opened and she drove in. He let her out first, removing himself slowly and looking around as the door closed to trap him in the garage. He was slower to follow, mostly because he stopped to investigate things in the garage but also to arm himself with a combat knife and gun from his old uniform. And... these pants were still kind of tight. He didn't like them for how they clung to his legs and ass.

Still, he followed eventually, looking around the house that he was entering. He tilted his head to listen to her footfalls and moved around to investigate the place to assure himself that it was safe.
