And two more movies to come with symbolism

He heard the jingle of keys and knew her location before heading off to investigate and get to know the surroundings they were staying in for a few days. He ghosted utterly silent around the place, moving with a predatory grace as he eased through shadows and looking at rooms, specifically looking for entry points and exit points, weaknesses to the building and accounting for places to hide behind furniture. The items that couldn't be used as a weapon or defense was immediately ignored as he moved from living room to dining room to kitchen.

He had always enjoyed fighting in kitchens. There was so much to use for the most part, and the floors were often easy to clean in case of blood spillage. He had no idea that he preferred kitchens because he had spent a lot of time in one as a boy playing on the floor as his mother passed over him. Those memories were locked away, out of sight, but there was a calmness to an empty kitchen that he liked, the idea that a fight here would result in him winning. It was also generally highly defensible as far as positions went.

He ran his flesh fingers over the counter tops, ignoring food and nosing through the drawers to find out what was in them. All cooking items, but all useful if he needed them. He might decide to rest in here when the time came for that sort of activity.

His head came up and around at the sudden call of the title that Stephanie always called him. He ghosted from the kitchen utterly silent and came to stand in the doorway, reaching up to pull off the ball cap as if to reveal himself to her. "I'm here," he said softly.
