Damn the cash cow know as HP

He regarded his hand with the keys in it without much care in he world for the fact that the room he was staying in was next door. The clothes he had on now didn't entirely fit, so he assumed the ones next door probably weren't either. He was bigger than he had been in World War II after all, more filled out and far, far more deadly. He knew that he had been different back then, far less suspicious and cold. He still grappled with a bit of what he remembered, but his focus right now was Stephanie.

He listened to her side of the conversation, wandering what the widow was telling her and completely aware that everyone would know who and what he was here. They most likely saw him differently than Stephanie did, something to put down like a rabid dog, but she had given him a chance to prove himself to her. She had provided for him the base structure that he could build on, to be whatever he wanted to be if he made a decision on that. He would protect her to his last breath too, though he was confident that he had the skills to prevent that from happening as well.

When he hung up, he flicked his eyes from the keys rattling off of his metal fingers and watched her. "I can run some water for you, if you want," he said as he stood taller, almost eager to do a service for her. "What did the Widow say," he added belatedly as if he asked out of courtesy and not of interest.
