It could have been rather easy to just slip in and stay under the water since honestly, why had her life turned out to be so damn hard? It wasn’t this complicated before she crashed that damn plane and really not for the first time she wished they had never found her and left her trapped in that icy grave she had been in, how had she even survived that for seventy years she wasn’t sure? But then probably thinking like that was selfish and a bit suicidal, or so Sam had told her when she had dared to speak about it with him, something about survivor’s guilt –which she could see some kind of sense in, she had seen people from suffering that and maybe she did but then she didn’t exactly followed the established pattern for that one.

She raised an eyebrow when she heard the jingle of keys and then what she thought was a door opening, she was quiet for a bit and went over her conversation with Bucky, added the new factors of this life, but probably some core aspects of his personality when it came to her were still present there, she was eerily quiet and barely heard the sound of a drawer opening before she sighed. “Stop going through my stuff, Bucky!” It seemed that habit hadn’t died then, he had always been curious when she had something to hide when they were living together and always took his chances when she wasn’t around to pry on whatever secret she wanted to keep from him, which had made keeping birthday present for him a dire nightmare.
