James was a man who knew how to pick up when someone liked him because it happened to be a lot with the cute dames around and the slowly depleting men thanks to the war starting. He knew the looks, the little smiles, the body language and normally he played it up because the attention was always nice. Who wouldn't enjoy it? Of course, he always made certain his dates had cute friends so Steve never felt left out. He always had his friend's back, hoping to encourage the shy violet out into the open, though Steve apparently liked being punched in alleys instead of interacting with women. Oh well, there were ever the opportunities for growth in his friend.
