[Did he like what he saw? He wasn't sure. The man looking back at him didn't fit in the whole frame, his shoulders went past peeling frame. His face was fuller, just like Bucky had described to him and all the features of his face looked pretty close to how they always had -- the bite fixed the curve and ache of his spine but it didn't reset his nose from the time it was broken in and he found himself glad for that.
Everything else felt like someone else entirely. He moved and all the muscles in his shoulders and chest, outlined by the tight stretch of his shirt moved too which meant they were his but that seemed impossible. He was just in the middle of pressing a hand to his own chest when Bucky clasped his shoulder, shoving his nose against his neck though it was warm and human instead of the wet snout of him as a wolf. Without thinking his head lolled to the side, giving up the expanse of his neck.]
It's something.
[Something he was going to need a second to get used to, no matter how good it felt just walking around. He'd been used the day-to-day but he never realized how uncomfortable it'd been until it disappeared.]
There's this though, you see?
[It's light, not much more than pale marks now but the ring of them was distinctly where he remembered Bucky's teeth sinking in to start the change. Steve shifted to twist and try to snag one of Bucky's clasping hands.] Did you wrist heal?
