He grunted softly as her hold tightened upon him, and he felt a sense of control and pleasure that she always moved closer rather than away with him. It fed this base instinct inside of him, the aching void that he so often filled with work and anger at the world beyond himself and Jinx. He relaxed into that hold, sliding his arm tighter across the back of her shoulders.

He loved her. That much he knew. He could never articulate it into words, of course because that was daring too much. He'd done it once and been drowned by sentiment, but he knew what the sensation was. His love was multifaceted and complex.

He had not had relations in awhile, least of all where Jinx could discover it. He had lost interest in that a long time ago, and while a man had needs, he kept those quiet and off the books.

"Jinx, it's a natural imperative we all endure. It should be enjoyed, especially with someone you trust and care about. Random fumbling is fine, but it isn't the same when there is emotion involved." It was a matter of control too, knowing she wouldn't stray too far if their relationship evolved in such a direction. He did mean he was willing to do anything for her.

"With you, I consider nothing about what we have lowering myself. We elevate each other, Jinx."
